Over 40 events, including festivals, exhibitions and performances, will be held in Gangwon Province over the next 150 days to promote the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The quadrennial event starts in February.
To raise awareness of the Olympics, three large-scale events will be held on Nov. 1, Dec. 21. and Jan. 10 to mark 100, 50 and 30 days until the Olympics.

On Nov. 4, a K-pop concert will be staged at the venue of the opening and closing ceremonies.
Various other events such as cultural performances and fireworks festivals will be held at locations throughout Gangwon Province including Chuncheon, Gangneung and Wonju. Participants will be able to learn about the Olympics at booths set up nearby.
“We will try to take advantage of the Olympics to promote Gangwon Province and make every effort to ensure it is a success,” Gangwon Province Governor Choi Moon-soon said on Monday.
